Shipping policy
Free shipping. All orders ship free to commercial and residential addresses in the contiguous United States (lower 48).
Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and international destinations: contact us for a freight quote.
How it ships.
- Smaller items ship by parcel carrier.
- Larger equipment ships by LTL freight on a pallet.
Free freight includes liftgate service at no charge and is curbside or dock delivery. The driver will not bring equipment inside, unpack it, or remove packaging.
Processing time. In-stock orders usually ship within 1–3 business days after payment clears. Special Order items ship once received from our supplier; we confirm the lead time after you order. We email tracking information when your order ships.
Expedited or special delivery. Need it faster, on a specific date, or with special handling such as inside delivery, appointment, or jobsite delivery? Email orders@facilitysurplus.com with:
- the items,
- the delivery ZIP code, and
- the date you need it.
We'll send you a quote for expedited freight. Expedited charges are billed separately and are non-refundable once the shipment is booked.
Freight Delivery & Damage Claims (read before you sign)
Freight carriers only pay damage claims when the damage is written on the delivery receipt. When your freight shipment arrives:
- Count the pieces against the delivery receipt.
- Inspect every piece before signing. Look for crushed corners, holes, tipped units, broken pallets, and punctures.
- Write any damage on the delivery receipt in specific words, for example "carton crushed on left side, unit dented." "Subject to inspection" alone is not accepted as a damage notation by most carriers.
- Photograph the shipment before and after unpacking, including the data plate.
- Refuse delivery only if the unit is obviously destroyed. Note the reason on the receipt.
- Email us within 48 hours with your photos and the signed receipt.
Concealed damage is damage found after unpacking when the packaging looked fine. Report it within 48 hours and keep all packaging. Carriers deny late concealed-damage claims, so we can't accept them either.
Delivery appointments, failed delivery attempts, redelivery, or storage fees caused by an incorrect address or no one available to receive the shipment are billed to the buyer.
